A Sad Day for the Window Box Day 18

I took a shot of my Dianthus this afternoon.  I am glad I did, because when I went out to make sure all were covered, the wind chill had already burnt the leaves and flowers.  They had survived several days of 20 degree weather previously, but the wind chill, I found when I came in, was in the single digits tonight. Brrrrr. So cold.
