I grew up enjoying the homemade goodies canned by my Mom and my Grannie . . . they always enjoyed the fig preserves, but I preferred the fresh plum and dewberry jams and jellies . . . yummm . . .
Me too, Chitra. Figs are great. @Benotforgot... We usually make dewberries too, but too dry for them on the farm this year. I found a new recipe that I love that is spiced for the figs. The grandmothers loved the Strawberry jello recipe. Easy.
Wow, love the ripe figs. I love raw ones in the dishes.
