Callifornia Summer Color... Blue Daisy like Flower... Day 201

This is so pretty, but not necessarily a native of California.  We were at the Fresno Zoo.  Many plants from different places.  I loved it because I had so many when I had the nursery.  But here is another defying my identification.

Callifornia Summer Color... Coreopsis Moonbeam... Day 200

The granddaughter was learning the names of the flowers.  Her mom said we learned more flower names at the zoo than  animal names.  Can I help it if I love flowers?
Coreopsis Moonbeam

California Summer Color... A Clump of Pretty Grass? Day 196

I have to apologize. This up on a hillside I can not get to.  The plant reminds me of Liriope, but the leaves are too thin and grassy like. The flowers are a deep purple. Makes a pretty clump on the hillside.  If anyone know what it is let me know.

A Morning at the Park... Day 182

She had been trying to learn how to do the monkey bars. She bit the dust as you can see. Couldn't resist  her smiling face.

Of course, if one has her picture taken the other needs it also

Leaning back and Enjoying the Comfy Sack... Day 179

The parents bought a Comfy Sack for the library. The three year old knew what it was for.  Lean back and take it easy.
BTW I thought I had a scheduled post for Sunday... Where did it go?

Sisymbrium altissimum or Tall Tumblemustard.  The flower has interesting growth during the summer and turns into a tumble weed fall and winter.

Summer Color With Children Playing... Day 175

Hardy Shrub Roses in the background have not been irrigated or pruned while the family was gone for a year at the University.   Can't understand why the girls were not impressed. : )

Summer Color Fourth of July... Day 172

Did not have a good lens for this.  Not to mention the camera shutter time was way too slow. I had to show what I managed to capture out of way too many shots.  Part of the finale.  Happy Fourth of July!
